At PierSight, we're on a mission to transform the maritime industry through cutting-edge technology. We understand the critical need for persistent surveillance over the world's oceans, and we've harnessed the power of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites to provide unparalleled coverage at a fraction of the current data costs.

Our Vision

Oceans cover 70% of the Earth's surface area. Yet, we have very limited visibility of what happens out there. Illegal fishing, oil spills, and contraband smuggling are just some of the activities that go largely undetected. We want to bring visibility to all human and industrial footprints at sea so that we can help protect the environment and make maritime commerce more efficient.

Our Story

PierSight has been close to a decade in the making. While Gaurav has been working on SAR since his early days at ISRO, Vinit was building prototypes and solutions for the aerospace and defense sector while at National Instruments. They met while collaborating on an ISRO project back in 2019. The rest, as they say, is history.

Meet the Founder

Gaurav Seth

Founder & CEO

Gaurav graduated with a B.Tech in Engineering Physics from the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST). Subsequently, he spent 9 years at the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), contributing to the design and execution of 5 interplanetary and Earth observation missions, including the development of India's first airborne foliage penetration Synthetic Aperture Radar.

Meet the Leadership Team

Obulreddy Bogireddy

VP of Engineering

Obul brings over a decade of expertise in radar systems and digital signal processing. He has led complex projects at Bharat Electronics Limited and Xilinx, developing advanced FPGA and GPU-based solutions. At PierSight, Obul leads the design and development of electronic systems.

Abhishek Parikh

Project Director

Armed with a Ph.D., Abhishek specializes in microprocessor systems and holds multiple patents in AI and energy management. He leads PierSight’s embedded systems programs, designing the brain of our spacecraft and payloads.

Rabi Narayan Rath

Director - Power Electronics

An Avionics graduate from IIST, Rabi spent 7 years at ISRO where he contributed to the design and realization of power systems for Earth Observation and Altimeter payloads. At PierSight, he leads the design and development of Electronic Power Conditioners.

Hamish D’souza

Lead Geospatial Solutions Engineer

Hamish is a Remote Sensing and GIS specialist with deep expertise in SAR data analysis. At PierSight, he translates satellite and ground-based data into actionable intelligence and builds user-friendly software tools that enable application specialists to use data effectively.

Ishan Khare

Lead System Design Engineer

Ishan holds a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering and an MSc in Physics from BITS Pilani. At PierSight, Ishan’s work is focused on the system design and development of the signal processing chain for both SAR and AIS systems.

Kashyap Dave

Lead Mechanical AIT

Mr. Kashyap Dave brings deep expertise in the design and development of Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) and Mechanical AIT of satellite payload systems.

Kamal Saroha

Director - Spacecraft Structures & Thermal

Kamal specializes in mechanical system modelling and computational analysis, with expertise in structural design, thermal modelling, and system simulations. At PierSight, he works on optimizing spacecraft mechanical performance.

Kamlesh Bharodiya

Lead Embedded Software Engineer

With nearly a decade of experience in embedded systems, Kamlesh brings deep expertise in firmware architecture, real-time operating systems, and hardware-software integration. At PierSight, he leads embedded software development.

Atharv Hardikar

Lead Spacecraft Systems Engineer

Atharv holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Systems and Controls from IIT Bombay. At PierSight, he leads spacecraft systems engineering, ensuring seamless integration across all subsystems.

Steffi Joseph

Lead - Marketing

Steffi leads marketing and communications at PierSight, highlighting the brilliant minds behind our technology and the impact they’re creating. She holds a Master’s in Mass Communication and brings experience in media, PR, and content strategy.

Achintyaa Tewari

Lead - Business Development

With a background in engineering & finance, Achintyaa has worked at the Adani Group, where he helped incubate and acquire technology businesses and managed strategic partnerships across sectors. At PierSight, Achintyaa works closely with the leadership team on business development.

Khushbu Vyas

Head - People & Culture

Khushbu brings 14 years of strategic HR experience, having previously worked with companies like Analog Devices, where she led initiatives across talent strategy and leadership development. At PierSight, she heads People & Culture, ensuring the people side of the business grows alongside the company.
